Rimowa and contemporary artist Daniel Arsham have collaborated on a new item, which will go on sale at Rimowa Ginza 7-chome from October 7, 2022 (Friday).
Rimowa x Daniel Arsham collaborate again
This is the second collaboration between the two companies, following the first in 2019. The iconic Rimowa “Pilot Case” will be developed with a built-in turntable sculpture by Daniel Arsham.
This sculptural work by Arsham, titled “Illoaded Turntable,” is inspired by everyday objects excavated from a dystopian world of the future. The work is expressed through stonework and crushed glass.
The pilot case that houses the works is made of black aluminum and is decorated throughout with a vintage-style logo in arsham green. Like the latest suitcases, it is also functional, with a multi-wheel system and telescope handles.
