Marufuku Coffee House Honten is a 3-minute walk from Nihonbashi Station and a short walk from Namba Station from Exit 26 of the Namba Walk underground shopping mall. After the war, the main restaurant was moved from Shinsegae to Sennichimae.

Both inside and outside the shop have a retro Showa atmosphere. Stained glass and chandeliers, antique furnishings from the founder’s collection, and coffee equipment from the past are on display. Hotcakes (700 yen including tax)

Cafe Sunshine” is located in Higashi Umeda. This is a long-established coffee shop that has been in business for more than 40 years, and has continued to focus on the taste of coffee.

Yukinoshita Umeda Main Store
Yukinoshita is a pancake cafe that is also famous for its shaved ice. In the past, it used to be a very difficult shop where you had to make a reservation, but now there are many shops here and there and you can easily enter any time you want. The main store is located in the back alley of Umeda, and the entrance is a little difficult to understand and the store is narrow, but the inside is very stylish and full of a sense of seclusion.
Honey and Butter (850 yen)
Yukinoshita’s speciality is the “Honey and Butter” pancake (850 yen), which is a thick batter that is a whopping 4 cm thick!
The staff recommends the Milk Green Tea (550 yen), and if you order the drink and pancakes as a set, you get 200 yen off.
The pancakes that take 25 minutes to bake when they are ordered are simply divine. The outer batter is very crispy, and the unsalted fermented butter and the honey from the Koike Apiary in Ehime enhance the taste of the pancakes!

Coffee shop “DIA” is a long-established coffee shop located next to Umeda, under the elevated platform of Fukushima station. You will be greeted by a cheerful uncle and an auntie in a retro shop.
Hotcakes (550 yen)
DIA’s pancakes (550 yen) have a slightly awkward shape that reminds you of the pancakes your mother made for you. But the thickness of the dough is so thick that you can’t replicate it at home! The dough is almost flavorless, so a generous dollop of maple syrup makes it even better.
