Taiwanese sponge cake specialty store Pom Pom will open in Namba City (CITY), Osaka on June 12 (Friday), 2020!
Fluffy texture like a cloud
The shop, named “澎澎 (Pom Pom),” meaning “fluffy & fizzy,” is a new brand by Operation Factory which is managing the “Fresh Cream Specialty Store Milk” and “Fresh Tapioca Specialty Store, Motscham”. The new store will be located a five-minute walk from Nankai Railway’s Namba Station on the Midosuji and Sennichimae Lines, and will sell fluffy and fizzy Taiwanese sponge cakes that resemble clouds.
Don’t eat too much! Addictive sponge cake
Taiwanese sponge cakes, locally known as ciencao dang gao (freshly baked cake), are filled with meringue, filled with air and baked slowly for 90 minutes. It’s a dreamy combination of the rich egginess of the sponge cake and the fluffiness of the chiffon cake, both They are big enough to fill your hand, but you’ll eat as much as you want. They are truly a “magical sponge cake”.
Easy to do at home, you can arrange it for a different texture
Pom Pom’s Taiwanese sponge pancakes not only offer a fluffy and fizzy texture, but also four different textures to choose from. Take it home and enjoy its “fluffy” flavor, microwave it for “Fluffy & Fizzy”, toast it for “Crispy & Fluffy”, or refrigerate it for a “Moist” flavor.
Two different menus are available in the shop.
The restaurant offers both the standard “pom-pom” and the “fresh cream pom-pom,” which is a sandwich of freshly chilled whipped cream.
