High-quality bread specialty store Sakimoto is now offering two types of autumn limited open sandwiches, on sale from Thursday, October 1 (Thu) to Monday, November 30 (Mon), 2020, at select cafes and restaurants.
This is a sweets-type open sandwich made with Sekimoto’s signature “jewel jam” that will be available only during the fall season.

“Caramel and Cinnamon Apple” open sandwich
The Gokubi Open Sandwich – Caramel and Cinnamon Apple is an open sandwich made with cinnamon and apple with a caramel sauce. The surface of the caramelized bread is layered with Noisette Pearl, a hazelnut jewel jam, and topped with a generous amount of cinnamon powdered Japanese apples in syrup.
Topped with sour cream whipped cream, caramel sauce, and roasted sliced almonds for a refreshing and savory flavor.

On the other hand, the Gokubi Open Sandwich – Hokkaido Mascarpone Tiramisu is inspired by tiramisu. Coffee syrup-soaked bread is layered with “opera pearl,” a chocolate-coffee jewel jam, and topped with a dollop of mascarpone cheese cream. It’s sprinkled with cocoa powder and sprinkled with roasted slivered almonds for a richer taste.
