Kaiyukan, located in Minato-ku, Osaka, will host the winter illumination “Kaiyukan Illumination” from Friday, November 20, 2020 to Sunday, February 28, 2021.
30th Anniversary Decoration
Kaiyukan Illumination, one of the largest aquariums in the world, has become a winter tradition. In 2020, the commemorative decorations installed to celebrate the 30th anniversary are lit up with indirect lighting in the form of “Andon”. “Warm colors will be used to decorate the sleekly curved objects and gates, which are inspired by “human connections and warmth. Every 10 minutes from 5:00 p.m. to 9:50 p.m. every day, music and light will be used to create a performance.
