Häagen-Dazs will release new Hana Mochi Series, “Specially chosen Kinako Kuromitsu (Brown Sugar Syrup) and Zunda (mashed boiled soymeans)” nationwide from Sep. 17 for a limited time.

Häagen-Dazs Hanamochi is an ice cream dessert that combines rich ice cream with a soft texture of Mochi. Since its birth in 2015, various flavors have appeared and have gained popularity.

“Specially chosen Kinako Kuromitsu”

“Specially chosen Kinako Kuromitsu (Brown Sugar Syrup)” is a power-up of the popular flavor “Kinako Kuromitsu” that appeared in 2015 and 2017. Deliciousness is improved by sticking to the types, blends, and roasting styles of Kinako. Brown sugar syrup sauce is mixed with “Burnt Kinako Ice Cream”, which is more fragrantly finished using deep roasted kinako. On top of that is a soft mochi and Kinako. Kinako brings out a gorgeous fragrance by blending yellow soybeans with black soybeans and lightly roasting them.

Hana Mochi “Zunda (mashed boiled soymeans)” is a new flavor inspired by the local Tohoku confectionery “Zunda Mochi”. A savory ice cream with a strong flavor of tea beans is combined with a savory sauce with salt added as a hidden taste. On top of Mochi, Zunda An (paste) is a luxurious topping that gives you the feel of green soybeans. The rich flavor of green soybeans and the combination of milk are outstanding.
