As the Seibu Lions continue to refrain from going outdoors to prevent the spread of the COVID-19, the “We Are One Project at Home” was launched on Tuesday, April 28, with the hope that the team and fans will work together to overcome the situation. As part of the project, “Lions Recipes,” supervised by the team’s management nutritionist who supports the players’ performance from a food perspective, are now available on the project’s official website and on the team’s official Twitter page.

Let’s have a balanced meal while having fun cooking!

This project was planned in conjunction with the baseball team’s nutritionist with the hope that people who are spending more time at home due to the spread of the COVID-19 infection and those who are concerned about their health will be able to eat a well-balanced meal while having fun cooking.

The first recipe is “Curry Pilaf with Mackerel and Mushrooms”. Vitamin D, which is necessary for healthy bones, is produced by the body through exposure to sunlight, but it is one nutrient that is often deficient when people are restricted from going outdoors. Mackerel and mushrooms are rich in vitamin D, which is a great way to build strong bones.

The video shows how to make the recipe and how to arrange it as “Leo’s Notes on the Human Mouth”. It’s easy to make for those who don’t usually cook a lot, or for parents and children. You’ll see all five of these recipe videos! (The fourth video was released on May 16.)

Vol.1, “Curry Pilaf with Mackerel and Mushrooms”
Vol.2, “Fluffy Pork Okonomiyaki
Vol.3, “Colored Taco Rice.”
Vol.4, “Salmon and Cheese Egg Window.”
