Menya Sanden is an independent ramen shop in Saiin, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto.
The restaurant boasts of its thick chicken white soup dipping noodles, and won the overall grand prix in the magazine “Pia Ultimate Ramen 2022 Kansai Edition.

The menu consists of tsukemen (Dip style ramen) and ramen, both of which feature homemade noodles made from two kinds of Japanese wheat flour kneaded with roasted germ to give them an aromatic and sweet flavor. The soup is made from thoroughly pre-processed gara (chicken offal), momiji (Japanese fire belly), and whole chicken, and is surprisingly clean and full of flavor.

You buy a meal ticket from a ticket machine before taking a seat.


Tsukemen (Dipping Noodle)
The most popular menu item is Tsukemen. The feature of the soup is a thick, thick broth. The soup is made from chicken that has been thoroughly prepped and cooked only with water, with no extra ingredients. The rich chicken flavor and the soup’s high viscosity are evident from its appearance alone. Despite the richness of the soup, it is not heavy and has a refreshing aftertaste, and the homemade flat noodles are well mixed with the soup.
