I know I’m a little late with the news, but HERMÈS has opened a new Hermes Daimaru Shinsaibashi store in Shinsaibashi PARCO on September 19th.
An array of new scarves and other silk collections.
The Hermes Daimaru Shinsaibashi store is one of the largest stores in the Kansai area and has two entrances, one in front and one inside the building. As you walk through the front entrance, you are greeted by an extensive collection of women’s silks, including the new scarves. Both sides of the store are lined with men’s and women’s merchandise, and at the back of the store, there are three separate sales areas with four-meter high ceilings. The store will offer a wide range of items, including a jewelry and watch salon, as well as saddles and women’s shoes.
Feel free to enjoy perfume and accessories.
The entrance from inside Shinsaibashi Parco is home to intimate items such as perfumes, silks and fashion accessories. In addition, a special space is spread out on the second floor to entertain customers. In the future, the company plans to develop a salon where customers can take orders for sur mujuru, creating a relaxed and calm space.
Designed with a Parisian feel
The interior was designed by the Parisian architectural firm RDAI (Rena Dumas Arcitecoeur d’Artillery). The two entrances are decorated with mosaic tiles and the house’s symbolic “Aix Libris” (book stamps), which conveys a sense of Paris. The inside of the store is designed in the motif of a town lined with shops, so you can enjoy shopping while walking around.
The exterior of the building with Japanese traditions.
The façade facing Midosuji Avenue is made of corrugated glass, and the natural light reflected from the glass illuminates the store like water. In addition, “kumihimo,” which has been considered a good omen since the Edo period, hangs from the ceiling and incorporates traditional Japanese elements. The kumihimo, which is handcrafted by artisans, carries the message of Hermès to “connect” people and generations.
