Ibaraki Flower Park in Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, will hold a winter-only illumination event, “Light Up: A Night Connected with Light,” from November 12 (Saturday) to December 30 (Friday), 2022.

Ibaraki Flower Park, which reopened in the spring of 2021 and has one of the best rose gardens in Japan, will follow “Moon Light Rose Garden 2022,” which was first held in October, with the illumination theme of “Lighting. Approximately 250,000 lights in a warm champagne gold color, as well as gentle light from bonfires and lanterns, will illuminate the spacious garden where roses still remain.
Various light displays in the park
During the period, various illuminations will appear in the park. The “Corridor of Light,” a 60-meter-long illumination that invites visitors to enjoy the starry sky and illumination, the “Starry Sky Swing,” which gives visitors a floating sensation as if they are diving into a star-filled sky, and the “Light and Connecting Deck,” where 3,000 lights with themes of flowers, stars and wind appear when a QR code is held up to it. The “Deck Connected to Light” is a deck of 3,000 lights that appear when you hold up a QR code.
Wreath-making and other hands-on content, mini-concerts
Other events include hands-on contents such as making glowing catsuits and ball wreaths from dried flowers, and a mini-concert in conjunction with the lighting ceremony on Saturday, November 12. Come and enjoy the winter nature and fantastic nighttime illumination under the shining starry sky.
