The “Honey Sweets & Halloween Buffet” at Kobe Portopia Hotel is a buffet featuring honey sweets and savories that express the world of Halloween.
Sweets using “Portopia Honey”
The highlight of the event will be sweets using “Portopia Honey,” pure honey from Portopia collected on the hotel grounds. The buffet starts with “Honeycomb Mousse,” a welcome treat made with “Portopia Honey” and served with bee-shaped chocolates. The “Honey Chiffon Cake” baked softly and the “Honey Roll Cake” with cream rolled in moist dough are also available.
Honey is also used in “zuccotto” and “cassata”.
Honey is also used in popular sweets such as “zuccotto,” a domed sweet born in Italy, and “cassata,” an iced cake originating from Sicily. Visitors can taste about 25 different kinds of sweets, including lemon tarts topped with honey meringue and lemon and white chocolate mousse with a honeybee motif.
Savory with a Halloween feel
The savory menu will feature about 20 varieties, including “Spider Canapés,” which look like they are covered in spiders, and “Devil Eggs,” which look like eyeballs. The slightly spooky and mysterious atmosphere of the food will get you in the mood for Halloween.
