“Early Summer Afternoon Tea” with hydrangea & snail sweets
Kobe Portopia Hotel’s latest afternoon tea is inspired by “rain. Inspired by the sparkling sunshine during the rainy season, the menu features a variety of gorgeous sweets with images of hydrangeas, snails, and umbrellas.
The “Hydrangea Mousse” is a transparent jelly pastry that expresses a hydrangea in a glass. Light blue macaroons resembling snails are sandwiched between banana and lime ganache. The lineup also includes unique sweets such as umbrella-shaped chocolates with a lovely striped pattern that will make even a rainy day exciting.
In addition to sweets, there is also a nice selection of savory items such as a focaccia sandwich with prosciutto ham and onion soup. About 10 types of drinks are available, including seasonal fruit teas and herbal teas, all of which can be enjoyed with free refills.
