At “Kyoto Rikyu ~Odashi and Dashimaki~,” the aroma of dashi spreading throughout the restaurant first stimulates the sense of smell. Next, the 8-meter showcase appeals to the sense of sight. There, visitors are presented with suggestions for a life with dashi from all angles, including the appeal of dashi, cooking recipes, and Japanese cuisine.
The 4-meter showcase, which conveys the appeal of dashi packets, features natural ingredients that are actually used. In addition, an object next to the entrance provides a space where visitors can actually hold the natural ingredients in their hands and enjoy the aroma and feel of the ingredients. After the Corona Convergence, a dashi tasting is planned, and there will be plenty of dashi experiences to enjoy.

First, choose your favorite dashi from four types of tasting dashi: Rikyu-no-odashi, Kyo-sawara, sago, and honkare-bushi, and then enjoy a dashimaki gozen made with your chosen dashi broth: dashimaki gozen and kamataki gohan, 1,980 yen (tax included).
For the final dish, enjoy dashi chazuke. During the summer season, chilled dashi chazuke is available.
Rikyu’s dashi, kyosawara, gogoh, and honkarebushi are offered in small sizes (5 10g x 5 bags) starting at 518 yen (tax included), along with a variety of other powdered dashi and dashi related products.
