Fauchon Hotel Kyoto’s new sweets “mille feuille d’amier” and “choux toriko” have been on sale sequentially at “Pastry & Boutique Fauchon” on the 1st floor of Fauchon Hotel Kyoto since July 1, 2022 (Friday).
Colorful Sweets at Fauchon Hotel Kyoto
Fauchon Hotel Kyoto, the first hotel in Japan to offer the “taste of Fauchon,” has launched new sweets for July 2022. The colorful new sweets in pink, green, blue, and other shades are sure to excite you just by looking at them.
Premium checkered “Damier” mille-feuille
Millefoil Damier” is a premium millefoil with a beautiful checkerboard pattern of Fauchon pink and pistachio green, or “damier”. Griotte (cherry) confiture and two kinds of cream are sandwiched in a crispy pie crust, and the top is decorated with cream.
Tricolor petit choux
On the other hand, “Choux Trico” are petit choux that represent the “tricolor” of the national flag of Fauchon’s hometown, France. The “blue” choux with berry jam and cream, the “white” choux with vanilla cream, and the “red” choux with rose petal jam, raspberry and strawberry cream are arranged in a cute row to romantically represent the Tricolor colors.
Each petit puff is filled with Fauchon jam for a rich taste.
