The Thousand Kyoto will hold a Halloween afternoon tea featuring sweet potato, chestnut, and pumpkin, which will be available for a limited time from October 1, 2022 (Sat) at the 2nd floor cafe and bar “Tea and Bar”.

The Thousand Kyoto is holding “Imo Chestnut Pumpkin Afternoon Tea – Autumn Feast Gradation” featuring sweet potato, chestnut and pumpkin, which are representative autumn tastes. A special version will be offered only during Halloween.

Following a welcome drink of rooibos tea, apples, and grapes in the style of sangria, an Hachette Dessert inspired by the image of a “mountain in autumn leaves” will be served. During the regular season, the “Mont Blanc” is filled with large Tanba chestnuts, and during the Halloween season, the “Pumpkin Mont Blanc” is served with a peek-a-boo eye.

The three-tiered stand features a lineup of sweets, including a rare cheese and pumpkin tartlet in the shape of a cute pumpkin, macaroons in the shape of chestnuts, and a mousse cake with the perfect combination of sweet potato and black sesame paste.
In addition, be sure to check out the various savories such as “Pear Quiche” and “Gratin Canape with Matsutake and Salmon,” the “Autumn Gift – Cocotte Pie Wrapped Baked” filled with apples, pumpkin and sweet potato, and the crispy “Sweet Potato Scones. Drinks are free-flowing, and you can choose from a wide variety of drinks such as Japanese black tea and green tea latte.
