Winter-Only Afternoon Tea Inspired by “Snow White”
TENJIN, a restaurant at Roku Kyoto, will offer a winter-only “Afternoon Tea -kitayama sugi-“. The theme is “nature of Takagamine covered with snow,” and the restaurant will offer a variety of sparkling sweets and savories with white as the base color.
The stand, reminiscent of a frozen lake, features a lineup of nine types of sweets, including cupcakes decorated with “swans” and snow globe-shaped cupcakes with osmanthus jelly and bavarois. In addition, there are savory dishes made with scallops, lilies, and snow crabs, as well as freshly baked scones. Enjoy them with a selection of original teas, including fragrant fresh herbal teas.

The TENJIN restaurant will be divided into three different areas: “Chef’s Table,” “All-Day Dining,” and “The Bar,” each with its own special winter menu. For example, the Chef’s Table will offer seasonal “Kandara” (cold cod), a fluffy, baked fish coated with miso paste and hazelnuts.
“The Bar” Chocolate cocktail with “The Wind and Thunder Gods
Two chocolate cocktails inspired by Rimpa school painter Sotatsu Tawaraya’s masterpiece “The Wind and Thunder Gods” are now available at “The Bar”. The “Tonnerre Chocolat” is mainly made of rich white chocolate, while the “Vin Chocolat” is dark chocolate with a rich, bitter flavor.
