Afternoon tea to set the Christmas mood
The Westin Miyako Hotel Kyoto’s “Christmas Afternoon Tea” features a variety of sweets and savories to set the mood for the festive season. The lineup of Christmas sweets includes strawberry mousse with an adorable Santa Claus motif, a Christmas tree-shaped tart with pistachio cream, and cocoa macaroons decorated with reindeer antlers and bright red noses.
Also available are visually gorgeous sweets such as sparkling “sparkling juleps,” “chocolat bûche de Noël” with its irresistible rich chocolate flavor, and shortcake decorated with a snowman.
Scones, an essential part of afternoon tea, are decorated with a motif of “stars” twinkling on a holy night. For savories, the chef’s signature items include broccoli and bacon quiche and roast beef wrap sandwiches.
