The Westin Miyako Hotel Kyoto will offer afternoon tea and sweets using grapes from September 1 (Thu) to September 30 (Fri), 2022, at the Mayfair Tea Lounge on the second floor.

The “Grape Afternoon Tea” is an afternoon tea featuring grapes, which are now in season. Enjoy a variety of sweets and savories centered around juicy Shine Muscat and other grapes.
The lineup of sweets includes a “grape financier” with a cute round shape, a “grape tart” with a crispy tart crust decorated with fresh grapes, a “white wine and grape jelly” that combines rich panna cotta and white wine jelly with two types of grapes floating on it, and “grape macarons.
Grapes are also used sparingly in the savories. The menu is full of unique dishes such as a grape and beer quiche and two types of grape and berry cream cheese sandwiches.
Parfait filled with “Shine Muscat & Grapes” & 3 kinds of cakes
A menu of sweets featuring grapes is also available. Of particular note is the “shine muscat parfait,” decorated with a generous amount of large, lush shine muscat grapes. The glass is layered with milk ice cream and pear sorbet, and filled with refreshing elderflower jelly and lemon confit. The result is a refreshing taste perfect for summer.
In addition, there is a “shine muscat tart” to enjoy the elegant sweetness and juiciness of shine muscat, a “grape and yogurt cake” with grape jelly in a refreshing yogurt mousse, and a “grape and white wine cake” that matches the sweetness of grapes and the deep acidity of white wine.
