Hilton Nagoya will hold a sweets buffet “Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and Hello Kitty’s Autumn Festival – Dark Forest Harvest Festival” in collaboration with Sanrio Characters from Thursday, August 18 to Thursday, November 3, 2022.

The first collaboration with Sanrio Characters will feature three characters, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and Hello Kitty. The theme is an autumn harvest festival in a dark forest, and visitors can enjoy sweets using autumn flavors such as chestnuts, apples, purple sweet potatoes, and pumpkins.

Adorning the buffet table are 27 sweets and seven savory items, each representing the appeal of a different character in various ways. For example, “Kuromi’s Dark Forest Cake,” based on the traditional German Black Forest Cake, is a luxurious dish with a sweet white chocolate mousse with kirsch, whipped cream, and pickled griotte cherries eau de vie on top of the cake.
Autumn Cinnamoroll Cake
Also, the Autumn Cinnamoroll Cake, a rice-flour roll cake that resembles a cloud-white Cinnamoroll, is topped with whipped cream that resembles the iconic ears. Autumn ingredients such as purple sweet potato cream, chestnuts with astringent skin, and chestnut nectar are tucked inside the cake.

Other menu items include “Hello Kitty Ribbon Cake” topped with Hello Kitty’s iconic ribbon, “Dark Forest Truffles” that “harvest” chocolate from the soil of finely ground almond, hazelnut, and pecan nut praline, and “Crazy Mushrooms” created with marron chocolate and bright purple macaroons, all of which combine the delicious taste of the autumn season with the Sanrio Characters’ worldview.
