About 400,000 champagne gold LED bulbs light up Cocoon City
Cocoon City’s popular annual illumination event, “Sparkling Milky Way” is the theme for 2022, and approximately 400,000 LED bulbs will be lit up to illuminate various areas of Cocoon City and the East Exit Deck of Shin-Toshin Shin Toshin. Each area of Cocoon City and the Saitama Shin-Toshin East Exit Deck will be decorated with gorgeous champagne gold-colored lights.
Giant Christmas tree over 10 meters high
A giant Christmas tree over 10 meters high will make its appearance at the main venue, Cocoon Plaza. The highlight of the illumination is the “Milky Way,” the theme of the entire illumination, with light and sound effects like stars streaming across the night sky.
Tree of lights and champagne gold tree-lined avenues
In addition, a 15-meter-high light tree that illuminates the surrounding area fantastically will be set up in Cocoon Plaza, which is directly connected to Saitama-shintoshin Station. Together with the illumination of the station’s east exit deck entrance, the classic Christmas tree on the station’s east exit deck, and the “Keyaki Walk” in Cocoon 3, which is decorated with champagne gold lights, this event will bring about the Christmas spirit.
Christmas Market
In addition, a Christmas market will be held from December 21 (Wed.), selling Christmas goods and sundries unique to Christmas. An eat-in space will be set up at the Cocoon Plaza, where visitors can enjoy hot wine and various gourmet foods while viewing the illumination.
Snow Machine Snowfall Lighting Event
On November 12 (Sat.), the first day of the event, a lighting ceremony “Snow Fall Lighting Event” will be held at Cocoon Plaza in Cocoon 2. The countdown to the lighting of the lights, which will be colored by a musical performance, and a brief white Christmas with a snow machine will be the highlight of the event.
