【Sup! Sendai!】 Japan’s largest “Bread Festival 2022” will be held in Sendai for the first time, bringing together more than 20 popular bakeries from across the country.

The “khb Guriri & Pan (Bread) Festival 2022,” a festival of bread, will be held on October 1 (Sat) and 2 (Sun), 2022, at Asuto Nagamachi Morino Hiroba Park in Sendai.

Popular gourmet event “Bread Fest” held in Sendai for the first time

“Bread Fest” is one of the largest bread festivals in Japan, with the theme of “an event where bread lovers can enjoy bread at its best. During the festival, more than 20 bakeries from all over Japan will gather in Sendai to present their specialty breads. This will be the first time for the event to be held in Sendai.

More than 20 popular bakeries from all over Japan

Participating shops include Nagasaki’s Panplus, famous for its local Iki beef curry buns, and Sweet Orchestra, which won gold at the Bread Fest Awards 2021 and is popular for its anpan using “Nobi~ru” (stretched) anko (bean paste). At Kagurazaka Kameido, the cream buns from Kameido, which regrettably closed in 2021, will be sold again.
