【Sup! Tokyo!】 “Blue Cave SHIBUYA,” a Shibuya nighttime illumination of blue light, is being held for the first time in three years!

The popular illumination event “Blue Cave SHIBUYA” will be held in Shibuya, Tokyo. The period is from Thursday, December 8, 2022 to Sunday, December 25, 2022, and the lighting hours are from 17:00 to 22:00.

First “Blue Cave SHIBUYA” in three years

The “Blue Cave” illumination event was first held in Nakameguro in the winter of 2014; from 2016 to 2019, it was held in Shibuya, attracting a cumulative total of more than 3.2 million visitors.

In 2022, the first time in three years, “Blue Cave SHIBUYA” will be held, with approximately 600,000 lights shining in blue from Park Avenue to the zelkova trees in Yoyogi Park. In addition, a giant Christmas card will be set up at the site of the zelkova trees in Yoyogi Park. The “Illumination Mapping” system will be used to create a new type of Christmas card, with a moving light message and music box music.
