Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, Tokyo, will hold the “Midtown Christmas (MIDTOWN CHRISTMAS) 2022” event from November 17 (Thursday) to December 25 (Sunday), 2022.
Tokyo Midtown Christmas Events
The Tokyo Midtown Christmas event is held every winter to coincide with the exciting holiday season, and in 2022, a variety of events will again be held to get you in the Christmas spirit, including a tree illumination with gold lights, a Christmas tree inspired by party crackers, and an illumination with light and music performances. The Christmas spirit is sure to be enlivened by a wide variety of events.
Main Illumination “Christmas Story Lights
Of particular note is the main illumination “CHRISTMAS STORY LIGHTS,” which expresses the “special day of Christmas. A large spherical display capable of projecting high-definition images and approximately 300 lighting fixtures placed throughout the area will work in tandem to create a powerful light and music display that resembles an outdoor theater.
Special production of bubbles on bubbles
A special production using bubbles will also be held until December 14 (Wed.). Visitors can enjoy the fantastic sight of smoke overflowing from the bubbles floating in the illumination.
Outdoor skating rink, a winter tradition, is also open.
Midtown Ice Rink, a skating rink that has become a winter tradition in Tokyo Midtown, will also open on the same day. It is one of the largest outdoor skating rinks in Tokyo, and visitors can enjoy real skating using real ice.
