Shinagawa Season Terrace Illumination, a popular annual winter illumination event, will be held on a 1-hectare plaza, the largest in the Shinagawa area. 2022 will be based on the theme of “blue crystals,” and the venue will be fantastically decorated with lights based on a deep blue color scheme.

The main venues are the grand staircase, the atrium, and the event plaza called Canard at Shinagawa Season Terrace. Each of the three zones offers a different world of light, taking advantage of the one and only view of Tokyo Tower and the city’s nightscape in front of them.
From the grand staircase that serves as the entrance to the world of light, visitors proceed to the atrium where crystal lasers shimmer down to create an open space. Beyond the blue light reflecting off the foggy surface of the water is Tokyo Tower. The color contrast between the fantastic blue world and the red Tokyo Tower is one of this year’s special effects.
