Art Aquarium Museum GINZA plans to hold a special lighting and production for Tanabata Festival from June 20 (Mon.) to July 10 (Sun.), 2022.

Art Aquarium Museum GINZA opened in May 2022 as a permanent art space where visitors can enjoy goldfish art. 7 areas in the museum exhibit goldfish art under the theme of “Currents – Evolving Art.

For the Tanabata Festival on July 7, the newly opened New Spot is planning a special lighting and production. The inside of the building will be romantically decorated with motifs of bamboo branches and strips of paper, symbols of the Tanabata Festival.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is the “Chochinorium” exhibit area, which is based on the motif of “festival lanterns. Goldfish swimming in an aquarium that resembles a lantern are displayed in a special area decorated with bamboo branches and tanzaku paper strips. As you proceed through the Chochinorium, where you can experience the Tanabata season, the “Goldfish Bamboo Forest” area awaits you ahead.

The Art Aquarium Museum GINZA plans to hold special programs throughout the year to allow visitors to experience the changing of the four seasons. This is the only time you will be able to experience the summer in Japan, so if you are interested, be sure to visit the museum during the project.
