About 300 kinds of domestic cheeses gathered in one place
Cheese, Fun! Fun! Fun! is an event that brings together about 300 kinds of cheese from all over Japan, from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south. The “Japan Cheese Awards 2022”, a domestic natural cheese contest with a record number of entries of over 300 cheeses from about 100 companies, and the “100 Best Japanese Cheeses” tasting event will be held at the same time, making it one of the “biggest” events ever. The Japan Cheese Awards 2022, the largest ever, will be held at the same time to convey the appeal of Japanese cheeses.
The 100 Best Cheeses in Japan
The “100 Best Cheeses of Japan” will host tastings of cheeses entered in the Japan Cheese Awards. In addition to an assorted plate of cheeses from different regions and flavors, “Niseko Cheese Factory” in Hokkaido will offer “Niseko Yukika,” a creamy, rich cheese covered with dried fruits. In addition, “Cheese Kobo Nasu no Mori” in Tochigi Prefecture will offer “Mori no Cheese Chozuke,” a semi-hard type cheese aged for six months.
