“Rose cream puffs” with an increased amount of rose jam
The “rose cream puffs” are a collaboration between EDIBLE GARDEN, a specialty store for edible flowers, and Chef Genki Ushijima of Patisserie L’essentielle. The second batch, following on from the June 2022 batch, will feature an increased amount of the finest domestic rose jam. This time, the amount of top-quality domestic rose jam used has been increased, resulting in a richer product with a more gorgeous rose aroma than ever before.

The rose jam is made from genuine Japanese edible roses, and the sweet aroma of the roses and the texture of the petals used as is are key points. The refreshing acidity of the lemon used as an accent enhances the original flavor of the roses.

The base cream puff is the popular “Tonka Bean Choux à la crème” from Patisserie L’essentielle. The cream puffs are made with tonka bean cream, which has a mellow aroma reminiscent of sakura mochi (cherry blossom cake) or apricot pudding, and the crispy cookie-type dough is very appealing.

And a set of fruit flower teas to enjoy pairing.
