All-you-can-eat “tamagokake gohan” with brand eggs
The “Egg Fest,” a gourmet event for egg lovers, returns after an absence of about three years. The “Egg Fest in Ikebukuro 2022” is one of the world’s largest egg and rice events, offering all-you-can-eat brand eggs and rice for 500 yen (one coin).
More than 60,000 brand eggs of more than 60 kinds from all over Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, were gathered at the venue. About one ton of rice was also prepared, and more than 30 kinds of soy sauces were available for unlimited use. There will also be a lineup of toppings such as salted fresh pepper and crunchy soy sauce almonds to “add a little something extra” to the egg-dipped rice.
Egg sweets and side dishes
The best part of “Egg Fest in Ikebukuro 2022” is that you can enjoy shopping as well as all-you-can-eat. More than 30 booths will be set up at the venue, offering sweets, side dishes, and goods using eggs.
The “Phantom Egg Store,” which sells assorted eggs, is also located at the venue, so it is recommended to buy your favorite eggs and enjoy them at home.
