Shangri-La Tokyo, a luxury hotel in Marunouchi, Tokyo, has introduced a summer-only melon shaved ice, available from July 1 (Friday) to September 30 (Friday), 2022.
Shangri-La Tokyo’s Summer-Specific Melon Shaved Ice
The Lobby Lounge, a lounge and bar on the 28th floor, offers a view of Tokyo from a space reminiscent of an elegant Asian resort. The “Melon Shaved Ice,” which has become a popular menu item every summer, is a premium shaved ice that can only be enjoyed during this season, using a melon cut in half as the bowl.
100% fresh melon juice on shaved ice
The ice, which is made by freezing and shaving fresh melon juice (100% juice), is lavishly made from almost a whole melon. The rich melon flavor is complemented by a variety of toppings, including plenty of melon pulp, apricot jelly, baked coconut meringue, augeotji jelly, and whipped cream, as well as the crackling candy that is placed inside.
