Yokohama Bay Quarter is currently holding the summer lighting event “Lantern Night” until September 4 (Sun.), 2022.

Lantern Night” is a summer-only lighting event inspired by the night markets of Hoi An, the ancient capital of Vietnam, where countless colorful lanterns line the streets. The exotic atmosphere of the gently lit lanterns can be enjoyed in different ways depending on the time of day and the weather. This is the third time the event is being held, and the duration has been expanded to 97 days, the largest ever, so visitors are sure to encounter a different “world of light” each time they visit the event.
Food trucks also appeared
In addition, from June 15 (Wed.) through August 31 (Wed.), food trucks, including the popular “Earth Cafe” cafe in Yokohama Bay Quarter, will appear at the event site. Visitors can enjoy one-hand foods such as beer and sandwiches while gazing at the lanterns in the sky above.
