Summer Event “Summer Splash Fest” at Hakkeijima Sea Paradise
SeaPara’s annual summer event, “Summer Splash Fest,” is an aquarium’s unique way to cool off during the hot summer months. In 2022, when the La Niña phenomenon is expected to cause a heat wave, various events will be held, including “Splash Time,” a water-blowing event by beluga whales, and “Sea Animals’ Show,” in which visitors can enjoy splash effects.
After three years, it’s “Splash time.”
Splash Time,” held for the first time in three years, is a popular event featuring beluga whales and bottlenose dolphins that will inevitably get you soaked. This is a dynamic summer event in which beluga whales, which have more developed lip muscles than other dolphins, spray large volumes of water, and bottlenose dolphins, which use their tail fins to their fullest, enjoy a powerful spray of water.
Splash production for the “Sea Animals Show” as well.
The “Sea Animals Show” featuring dolphins, beluga whales, and walruses also features a splash performance that will make you feel cooler. Visitors can enjoy a variety of performances that will blow away the summer heat during the 15-minute show, including a comical dance by walruses, a graceful underwater show by beluga whales, and dynamic jumps by bottlenose dolphins and Pacific white-sided dolphins.
Special programs to swim with dolphins and experience being a dolphin trainer
In addition, SeaPara offers special programs such as “Let’s swim with dolphins and beluga whales,” in which you can swim with beluga whales and banded dolphins wearing a wet suit, and the Dolphin Trainer experience, in which you can interact with dolphins while learning health checks and training from their keepers.
