The Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel presents “Afternoon Tea Traveling Around the World,” bringing together sweets from around the world, as only a hotel with a global presence can.

The tea stands are stylishly decorated to resemble the sails of a yacht, with sweets and savories inspired by the regions and cities where InterContinental Hotels are located, such as England, France, the United States, and Belgium.

The petit fours include the traditional French pastry “Sibouste” with its savory caramelized surface, “Custard Pudding” which has been popular in England for centuries, and many other confections representative of each country. The most popular Viennese pastry is also on display.

You can also enjoy traditional sweets that are rarely eaten in Japan, such as “Cardinalschnitten,” known as the most popular sweet in Vienna, and “Biscotti,” a traditional Italian pastry, at the same time.
