The “Dim-Sum Afternoon Tea” featuring dim sum and Chinese tea at the Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel will be offered in a summer version from July 4 (Mon.) to September 16 (Fri.), 2022, at the Chinese restaurant “Karyu” on the top floor of the hotel.
Summer-specific “Dim-Sum Afternoon Tea”
Dim-Sum Afternoon Tea” is an afternoon tea menu featuring colorful dim sums and a variety of Chinese sweets, carefully prepared one by one with expert skill, along with fragrant Chinese tea. With a total menu of 16 kinds of dishes, it is recommended not only for tea time, but also for late lunch.
Colorful “dim sum” menu
The dim sum menu includes such delicacies as fried chives-flavored dumplings, fried seafood spring rolls, and steamed steamed pancakes wrapped in glutinous rice. As part of the summer menu, the restaurant will also offer a mini-sized version of “chilled jade noodles,” which are made with special noodles kneaded with spinach and served with a thick sesame sauce made with yuzu (Japanese citrus) vinegar.
A full lineup of sweets, including “ripe mango pudding
The most recommended sweet is the No. 1 popular “Mango Pudding” made with plenty of ripe mango pulp. Other standard Chinese sweets such as “sesame dumplings,” “apricot bean curd,” and “steamed sponge cake with green tea cream” are also on the list.
A wide variety of Chinese teas are available for free refills
Another great point is that refills of all nine types of Chinese tea are free. You can enjoy as many as you like, such as “Bihansai Cha,” a blend of Earl Grey and Frozen Oolong tea with the aroma of fragrant kumquats, and “Icchuanhong,” a high-quality jasmine tea with a sweet and mellow flavor.
