The “Sunflower Festa,” a limited-time summer event coinciding with the blooming of sunflowers, is being held at “Soleil Hill,” Nagai Umine no Oka Park in Yokosuka City from Friday, July 15 to Monday, September 19, 2022 (national holiday).
“Sunflower Festa” held at Soleil Hill, Yokosuka
Fuji over Sagami Bay, Yokosuka City Nagai Uminote Park Soleil Hill is a comprehensive park in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture. As the name “soleil,” which means “sun” in French, suggests, the park is a popular spot for visitors to enjoy the spectacular view of the vivid sunflower fields illuminated by the summer sun.
More than 200,000 sunflowers of more than 20 varieties in total are in bloom.
During this period, sunflowers bloom one after another in the park from mid-July to mid-September. In addition to the popular “Entrance Flower Garden” with approximately 100,000 sunflowers planted in an area of 5,000 m2, the “Soleil Garden” and “Circular Flower Garden” will be in full bloom with a total of more than 200,000 sunflowers of over 20 varieties in each area.
