The “Super Mont Blanc” cake using the “king of chestnuts,” Ginyose, will be available at the Hotel New Otani Osaka’s Patisserie SATSUKI until the end of January 2021.

The “Super Mont Blanc” is made with Japanese chestnuts that are in season at that time. The new Super Mont Blanc is made with “Ginyose”, the “king of chestnuts”, in its main ingredient, marron paste. By keeping the amount of fresh cream to a minimum, the richness and richness of the “Ginyose” flavor can be enjoyed to the fullest.
There is plenty of attention to detail in the Mont Blanc that enhances the taste of the Ginyose. The “nectar” of Japanese chestnuts from Kumamoto prefecture in the center of the Mont Blanc is gently wrapped in almond milk with just the right amount of sweetness. In order to enjoy the true taste of the chestnuts, Japanese ingredients such as black honey bean paste, soy milk white ganache, and Hinguja salt from Aogashima were also used as accents.
Furthermore, in 2020, there will be a collaboration with Kuzu-mochi, a kuzu-mochi produced by the long-established Japanese confectionery shop Funabashi-ya. The combination of Kuzu-mochi lactic acid bacteria derived from kuzu-mochi and flavorful Kyoto Uji green tea is used in the Matcha Soy Milk Kudzu, which provides a supple texture, as well as caramel sauce made from Wasanbon sugar that enhances the sweetness of the chestnuts, bringing out their natural sweetness and aroma.
