【Umeda】The most convenient place is Umeda. Links Umeda’s 3 most popular lunches♪

LINKS Umeda” opened in November 2019.

There are nearly 200 tenants and many more shops in the area, including restaurants, fashion and general merchandise stores. This time, we’re going to introduce you to one of the recommended lunches on the 8th floor of Links Umeda!

① Free refills on rice and soup! “Yakiniku no Gyuta Honjin”

The first one we will introduce is “Yakiniku no Gyuta Honjin Yodobashi Umeda”. It is a large restaurant with a total of 120 seats, including tatami mats and private rooms.

Usually, private rooms are available for at least 4 people, but this one has a private room for 1 person or more.

The lunch menu starts at 1,200 yen with a salad, kimchi, rice and soup. The rice and soup are reasonable with free refills. The restaurant is open for lunch from 11:00am to 3:00pm. There is also an optional menu of drinks and desserts, with an additional drink for 150 yen, and although small in size, you can add a stone-baked bibimbap or cold noodles for 300 yen, and sherbet, ice cream, or Annin-Tofu (almond jelly) for 200 yen!

By the way…the menu has pictures, so even if you don’t know what to say, it’s easy to understand and order.

Kalbi lunch
1,320 yen (includes tax)

The rice and soup are served generously, but if you don’t have enough, you can refill the rice and soup, so eat as much as you like! The kalbi lunch is an assortment of Daisen chicken, wiener, vegetables, thang kalbi and kalbi.

The smokeless roaster is very comfortable because it doesn’t smoke, it doesn’t smell, and it bakes quickly and doesn’t burn. The Kalbi with moderate fat on it is well colored and appetizing. And it goes without saying that it goes well with white rice, Soooooo Good!

② Slightly spicy and addictive Miso Ramen! “Ramen Ocharan-ya”

Next, we will introduce you to “Ramen Ocharan-ya”. The menu consists of two types of ramen: “tonkotsu” ramen and “light” ramen. In addition, the restaurant offers tsukemen and set meal menus.

There is an all-you-can-eat “Menma” and “Kimchi” bar where you can have all-you-can-eat Menma and Kimchi. You can eat it in ramen noodles, or you can eat it on its own as a snack!

Aburi Miso Ramen
880 yen (includes tax)

It’s moist and easy to eat, with thinly sliced chashu and beef giblets. The soup is slightly spicy. The tonkotsu base and grilled miso go well together. It’s addictive and delicious!

The medium thick straight noodles are exquisitely boiled, not too hard or too soft. The wheat-flavored noodles are slippery and delicious, and you can eat them as much as you like. Incidentally, if that’s not enough for you, there’s also 4 kinds of mini-donburi (rice bowl) for 200 yen!

③ The noodles with sesame seeds kneaded into them are delicious! “SOBAYOSHI”

The last one I will introduce to you is Sobayoshi. All of the soba noodles are made with sesame seeds kneaded into them, called “sesame cut soba”.

Zaru-Soba
740 yen (includes tax)

Be sure to try the Zaru-Soba (740 yen including tax) for a straightforward taste of the sesame-kiri soba. Soba has a dark color due to the black sesame seeds kneaded into it, and the aroma of the sesame seeds and buckwheat comes through vividly. When you try it, it has a thick and mushy texture with a solid presence.

A sesame mortar and a wooden mortar are placed, and after scooping the sesame seeds, the soba tsuyu is poured into the bowl, and the soba is dipped into the bowl and eaten in a unique style.

The yakumi is served with wasabi and white onions, but there are yuzu shichimi and yuzu kosho on the tabletop, so you can use them and enjoy the change in flavor.
The menu is full of dishes such as Kitsune Soba, Tororo Soba and Tempura. Rice steamed in a sailo is also popular!

In conclusion

To be honest, every restaurant is a restaurant with a variety of tenants, so it’s not a one-of-a-kind thing. However, there are many different restaurants on one floor, so I would like to have a quick lunch without getting lost! It’s just the right thing to do when you want to.
