① Sobayoshi

The newly opened Sobayoshi on the 8th floor restaurant floor. All of the soba noodles are made with sesame seeds kneaded into them, called “sesame cut soba”.

A sesame mortar and a wooden mortar are placed, and after scooping the sesame seeds, the soba tsuyu (dipping soup) is poured into the bowl, and the soba is dipped into the bowl and eaten in a unique style.

② Recommended for those who want to eat a big meal! “Kashun-an”

Next up is “Kashun-an”, also on the 8th floor restaurant floor. Soba is the main dish, but there is also a very wide range of other dishes such as tempura, eel, fried tofu, curry, sake snacks, and a limited menu featuring seasonal local ingredients.

Katsu-don Set
(Rice bowl topped with pork cutlet & egg)
1,078 yen

This menu is recommended for those who want to eat a lot of food. It is a set of katsudon and noodles, and you can order a combination of noodles (udon or soba) (cold or hot). If you choose the cold soba, you’ll get a zaru soba set. This restaurant has a good reputation for its soba, so it has a good smoothness in its throat and is very good.

They also offer a variety of Japanese sweets such as matcha pudding and warabi mochi, making them very popular with couples and women alike!

③ Ramen Ocharanya

The menu consists of two types of ramen, one based on tonkotsu (tonkotsu) and the other on light ramen, as well as tsukemen and set menus. It also has an all-you-can-eat “Menma” and “Kimchi” bar, making it a very reasonable and delicious ramen restaurant.

Aburi-Miso Ramen
(Grilled Miso)
900 yen

The soup is slightly spicy and the combination of tonkotsu (pork bone) and seared miso makes this ramen addictive. The medium thick straight noodles are exquisitely boiled, not too hard or too soft. The wheat-flavored noodles are slippery and can be eaten as much as you like.

④ Michelin-starred restaurant! “Namba Sennichimae Kama-Take Udon Akashiyaki”

The last restaurant, we will introduce to you is “Namba Sennichimae Kamatake Udon Akashiyaki”, located in the Oishii Mono-no-Yokocho at the links Umeda’s basement floor. This popular restaurant has been featured in the Michelin Guide’s “Bib Gourmand” for its thick, glutinous noodles.

Bukkake Chikutama-ten (Cold)
710 yen

It is a “bukkake udon” with chikuwa tempura, half-boiled egg tempura, thick broth, green onion, ginger and lemon. You can choose between hot or cold dashi (Japanese soup stock).

The udon noodles are tightly moistened with cold water and have a slight elasticity. It’s not so much hard noodles as it is slippery and glutinous, with an exquisite texture.

The special dashi broth and ginger is refreshing and invigorating! The hearty chikuwa tempura is crispy and hot! It goes well with cold udon.

Katsu-don Lunch
1,080 yen

This set consists of udon noodles with bukkake which I introduced earlier and katsu-don. Udon is not enough for me! If you’re looking for a hearty meal, this set is for you.

Kake-Kitsune Udon
710 yen

This is a very large udon called “Age-no-Kitsune Udon” which is so big that you can hide it. The slightly sweet Kansai-style dashi is soothing. If you make kake udon, the slightly softened udon is slippery and goes down your throat very well! If you compare the kake and bukake, you can see the difference in the texture of the noodles.

In conclusion

I’ve included some restaurants that are different from the previous article, but it’s nice to have a lot of choice in large commercial facilities. In addition, most of the establishments have food samples displayed in front of the store, and the menus are easy to understand with pictures, making it easy to choose a menu. I think it’s a great place for lunch while you’re shopping♪
