Hotel New Otani Osaka’s popular “Super Sweets Buffet” is now available in a summer-only version with a midsummer theme of luxury fruits. Enjoy the ultimate sweets made lavishly from peaches, mangoes, and melons to your heart’s content.
Signature Sweets “Super Series
Of particular note is Hotel New Otani’s signature “Super Series” sweets, which are priced at over 1,500 yen per piece. This time, “Super Melon Shortcake” made from muskmelons from Minami-Izu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, which maintain a sugar content of 14 degrees or higher, will be offered in buffet size.
Mango and strawberry shortcakes are also available.
The lineup also includes “Mango Shortcake” made with domestic apple mango and “Strawberry Shortcake” with its moderate sweetness and refreshing sourness. Visitors can enjoy a dreamy “taste comparison” of the three shortcake flavors.
Hybrid parfait of shaved ice and soft-serve ice cream
In addition, more than 20 kinds of unique sweets will be available, including “Exotic Tiramisu” with mango flavor, “Mango Jelly” topped with coconut milk with tapioca, and “Hotel New Otani’s Special Pancakes” with a fluffy texture.
This unique sweet treat, consisting of a layer of apricot jelly with fruit and soft-serve ice cream, and finally a French-style shaved ice “granite,” will be offered in three different flavors for each period: peach, mango, and melon.

Be sure to check out the authentic tasting savory dishes prepared by the hotel chef. The menu includes a variety of hearty dishes such as the “Dashimaki Tamago Sandwich” with its mild sweetness, a meat burger using soybean meat, a rice burger, and a pork cutlet sandwich.
