The “Communal Food Market” is a new concept in food sales. It will offer food products that are different from those offered on the first basement floor, such as products made in collaboration with famous food manufacturers that are popular and rare.
The concept of the “Communal Food Market” is to realize a sustainable future for food through “environmental conservation, regional development, and cultural inheritance. A total of seven brands will open stalls to sell delicious food made from ingredients that reflect the passion of their creators and their specialties.
Four new brands, including a dairy product select store
The focus is on four new brands. Craft Milk Shop, a select store for high-end dairy products, sells carefully selected milk from more than 15 dairy farms nationwide, as well as processed products such as cheese and yogurt. You can also enjoy bread, sweets, drinks, and soft-serve ice cream. In addition to the existing products from each farm, the store also offers products exclusive to the Hankyu Umeda flagship store.
The milk sold at the Kraft Milk Shop is selected from naturally grazed cows that mainly eat grass, based on the concept of “animal welfare. The milk is pasteurized at 65 degrees Celsius to preserve the fat globules and natural flavor.
“Kyoraku An Dokoro, which sells sweets full of the appeal of red bean paste, will also be open. In addition to the fluffy dough dorayaki baked in the store’s kitchen, the store also offers Shiratama Shiruko, soft ice cream, and monaka (bean-jam filling). The “fresh red bean paste” made by cooking in a copper pot over an open flame is fresh, fragrant, and rich in texture.
In addition, the peanut store “Dore” will sell “freshly squeezed peanut butter” made from roasted peanuts produced in Yachigai, Chiba Prefecture, which have a rich and delicious flavor. The confiture store “FLAVED” will offer confitures made from fruits in their best condition purchased from contract farmers, as well as baked goods using confitures.
