A “spectacular” spot with about 12,000 sunflowers in full bloom! Sunflower Festa at Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in Osaka!

The “Sunflower Festa” will be held at the Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in Osaka, Japan. The festival will run from Saturday, July 16 to Sunday, August 7, 2022.

A “spectacular” spot with approximately 12,000 sunflowers in bloom

The Tulip Garden, located in the center of the Expo ’70 Commemorative Park, is a “spectacular” spot with approximately 12,000 sunflowers of 23 varieties blooming over an area of 4,000 m2. Visitors can see varieties inspired by the sunflowers painted by Monet, Matisse, and other historical painters, as well as sunflowers with unusual colors such as white and red.

The sunflowers can be seen along with the Tower of the Sun, the symbol of the Expo ’70 Commemorative Park designed by Taro Okamoto. Most of the sunflowers in Expo ’70 Commemorative Park bloom toward the Tower of the Sun.

Kitchen cars on weekends and holidays

On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays during the “Expo ’70 Sunflower Festa”, kitchen cars will be available at the venue. Visitors can enjoy cool drinks and sweets while enjoying the “spectacular view” of sunflowers in full bloom.
