Art Hotel Osaka Bay Tower will hold the buffet “PURPLE SWEETS COLLECTION -DANCE MACABRE-” at “Sky Buffet 51” from May 1 (Sun) to June 30 (Thu), 2022.
Dark fantasy buffet with “Dance of Death” theme
Art Hotel Osaka Bay Tower’s new buffet theme is inspired by the ancient Celtic festival “Valpurgis Night,” a traditional European custom and a strange festival held on May 1. Inspired by the “Dance Macabre/Dance of Death” where witches hold a sabbat (night party) and enjoy themselves as they wish, the menu will feature mysterious and dark fantasy sweets and food with purple and black as the main colors.
The first thing to note is, of course, the elaborate array of sweets. Purple” is represented by ruby chocolate, purple sweet potatoes, blackcurrants, blueberries, grapes, and griotte cherries, while “black” is represented by dark chocolate, black cocoa, bamboo charcoal, and blackberries.
A total of 13 types of original sweets specially made by the patissier are available, including “Heravisa,” a geode cake with jewel-like beauty, “Sabato,” a vegan tart expressing witches regrouping with purple sweet potato cream, and “Witchcraft Macaroon,” a chocolate cream sandwich in a swirling purple macaron cock.
Another attraction of this buffet is that it offers not only sweets but also a full food menu. The live kitchen dishes are prepared in front of your eyes, including Black Angus beef steak, roast beef with blueberry sauce, freshly baked pizza, freshly made pasta, and a rich lineup of about 80 kinds of dishes including buffet dishes.
