The annual spring event “Roppongi Hills Spring Festival” will be held for the first time in four years, and will once again feature traditional Japanese culture. We propose an “urban cherry blossom viewing” unique to Roppongi Hills, where you can enjoy traditional Japanese performing arts and illuminated cherry blossoms at night.
“Kyoto Takigi Noh 2023” Special Pre-Performance
Of particular note is the “Kyoto Takigi Noh 2023” Special Pre-Performance, in which you can enjoy Noh and Kyogen from the Kanze, Kongo, and Okura schools in a magical atmosphere lit by a bonfire. As a special pre-performance that will be held for the first time outside of Kyoto, a digest version of the Kanze school’s “Hagoromo” will be shown.
Amezaiku, Japanese sweets, and traditional Japanese magic called “Tezuma”
In addition, delicate amezaiku made by a group of amezaiku craftsmen “Asakusa Amezaiku Ameshin,” which boasts the best skills in Japan, Japanese sweets that make you feel the arrival of spring, classic magic tricks unique to Japan, “Tezuma”, and seasonal ingredients. There are various projects centered on traditional culture, such as gourmet stalls that serve meals made from the ingredients.
Illuminated cherry blossoms at night
Also, from mid-March to mid-April, the cherry blossoms will be illuminated at night. You can enjoy fantastic cherry blossom scenery at Mohri Garden, which is a vast Japanese garden, and Roppongi Sakurazaka, which is lined with cherry blossom trees for about 400 meters.
