Cafe comme ca is holding a “Pineapple Fair” from Thursday, April 15, 2021 to Wednesday, May 12, 2021. The “Pineapple Fair” features two kinds of cakes using pineapples, which are now in season before summer. Both the appearance and the taste of the cakes are refreshing and anticipate the summer season.
Two kinds of cakes
The main ingredient of the cake is “peach pineapple,” a variety grown on Ishigaki Island in Okinawa Prefecture, combined with a cream cheese base and a generous amount of salty cream made with Miyakojima snow salt. The cake also features gorgeous decorations typical of Cafe Comsa.
The other type is a shortcake made from “Kin (Golden) San”, a Taiwanese pineapple with a strong sweetness. A less sweet lemon cream is squeezed to give it a refreshing taste.
In addition to the cakes, the lineup will also include “Pineapple Smoothie,” a smoothie drink that combines the sweetness of pineapple with the sourness of yogurt.
