Cafe comme ca is now offering a “cherry blossom cake” made with strawberries, available for a limited time from March 4 (Fri.) to March 31 (Thu.), 2022.

Cafe comme ca offers two types of Japanese-style cakes, one representing “cherry blossoms in full bloom” and the other “cherry blossoms in leaf. Both cakes use “Kotobana” strawberries grown in Heguri Town, Nara Prefecture. These rare strawberries are characterized by their mellow aroma and rich sweetness.

The “Full Blossom Cherry Blossom Cake” is decorated with “Ancient Cherry Blossoms” cut to resemble cherry blossom petals. It is beautifully decorated with “Kouka” strawberries cut to resemble cherry blossom petals and topped with a light pink sakura red bean paste to create an even more gorgeous visual effect.
Matcha mousse expresses “leaf cherry blossoms
The “Leaf Cherry Cake – Strawberry “Ancient Capital Flower” and Green Tea Cake from Hirakuni-cho, Nara Prefecture” is made with green tea mousse to resemble young leaves that have begun to sprout. It expresses the scene of cherry blossoms falling and changing to fresh green. With cherry blossoms this beautiful and delicious, I can’t wait to try it!
