Limited Edition Fall Afternoon Tea with Pistachio and Tartan Check
Conrad Osaka is popular for its various themed afternoon teas, which change their appearance according to the season. This year’s menu features pistachios, which are in season in fall, as the main ingredient, and a tartan check pattern in the color of pistachios, which will bring out the autumn mood.
Sweets and savories with plenty of Sicilian pistachios
The tartan-checked afternoon tea stand is decorated with sweets and savories made from Sicilian pistachios, which are harvested only once every two years in the mineral-rich soil of Sicily, Italy, and are considered the best in the world.
For example, the “Pistachio SAINT HONORE” is a crispy, caramelized puff pastry topped with Sicilian pistachio whipped custard, banana caramel mini puff pastry, and mascarpone chantilly. It is a pistachio interpretation of the French pastry “SAINT HONORE,” which is made by piling up miniature puffs.
Other menu items include “Pistachio Butter Cake” kneaded with Sicilian pistachio paste, “Pistachio and Raspberry Gingham Cookie” with cheesecake frosting and raspberry ganache sandwiched between pistachio cookies, and “Panna Cotta with Pistachio and Yogurt” made with pistachio and yogurt to reduce the sweetness of pistachios.
