Maritozzo is a specialty of Rome, Italy, consisting of a soft brioche dough filled with milky, fluffy fresh cream. Maritozzo is a popular breakfast dish in Rome, but the addition of fruit to the smooth cream makes it an enjoyable dessert as well.
In addition to the “Maritozzo Strawberry” with its bright cross-section of fresh strawberries, the “Maritozzo Apricot Jam and Fromage Blanc Cream” is available, combining the refreshing richness of fromage blanc and sweet and sour apricot jam.
