RINGO, a freshly baked custard apple pie specialty store, will introduce a limited time flavor “Freshly Baked Custard Apple Pie Lemon” on June 1, 2022 (Wednesday).

RINGO’s summer-only flavor “Freshly Baked Custard Apple Pie Lemon”.
RINGO sells more than 6 million apple pies a year, centering on “Baked Fresh Custard Apple Pie,” which features 144 layers of crispy pie crust, a generous amount of custard cream, and a lumpy filling. The latest addition to the lineup, “Baked Fresh Custard Apple Pie Lemon,” is a refreshing summer-only flavor that sold approximately 170,000 units in three months in 2021.
Using plenty of sweet and sour lemons.
The filling, which is the key to the flavor, is based on apple preserve, which has a delightful texture, and is made with lemon puree, candied rind, and juice. By adding lemon curd to the custard cream made from Hokkaido milk, the entire pie has a refreshing lemon aroma and pleasant sour taste.
“Lemon and apple pie muffins” are also available for the same limited time.
A new lemon and apple pie muffin, which uses an abundance of lemon, is also available for the same time period. These muffins feature a moist dough with apple preserves, lemon puree, lemon peel, and lemon juice.
