For the Valentine’s season, Gion Tsujiri is releasing chocolates for the first time in six years. The new “Chocolaivre,” as its name implies in French, is an extravagant product that allows you to enjoy the marriage of Uji tea and Western liquor.
Tea & Wine Melting Ganache
The box contains an assortment of three of each of the two flavors. The “Matcha x Rum” is an exquisite chocolate with the bitterness of matcha green tea and the mellow aroma of rum. The ganache with a thick texture fills the mouth with a deep sweetness and richness.
Meanwhile, the “Hojicha x Brandy” is a Western-style sake ganache covered with rich Uji tea chocolate. The ganache, which is a combination of hojicha and brandy, is wrapped in hojicha chocolate to create a fragrant and gorgeous flavor.
