Huis Ten Bosch will be holding the “brightest ever” “Silver Illumination” for a limited time, including a lighting ceremony with snow falling and an aurora borealis of light!

Huis Ten Bosch, Nagasaki, will hold the illumination event “The World of Silver White – Winter Europe” from Monday, December 26, 2022 to Friday, February 24, 2023.

Illumination event with a silvery-white world

Huis Ten Bosch in Nagasaki, which celebrates its 30th anniversary, will hold “The City of White and Silver – Romantic Europe,” an illumination event that boasts the “brightest brilliance ever. The world’s largest illumination of 13 million bulbs, which has won first place in the “Illumination Award” for 10 consecutive years, will turn the beautiful European cityscape of Huistenbosch into a brilliant white.

Lighting ceremony surrounded by pure white light

The highlight of the event is the “World of Silver Lights” lighting ceremony held every night. The chapel and the tree glow pure white to the accompaniment of the beautiful voices of international artists, instantly transforming the plaza into a world of silver. The European cityscape is lit up all at once, like a scene out of a movie.

This year, the mood has been upgraded to even more fantastic than before. Pyro (fireworks) and snow will be added to create an even more romantic atmosphere.

Illumination like an aurora borealis

Huis Ten Bosch’s largest garden illumination, “Art Garden,” will be in full color and scaled up this winter. The “Aurora Borealis Garden of Light” will be presented with fantastic aurora colors and a 66-meter wide “waterfall of light” in conjunction with it. The dynamic brilliance of the illumination will give visitors the sensation of being enveloped by the aurora borealis cascading down from the night sky.

Flower Passage” with pure white flowers spreading.

The shopping street “Passage” will also be decorated in a silvery-white version with white flowers such as orchids. The fantastic space surrounded by pure white flowers in conjunction with the illumination is a perfect spot for commemorative photos.

Japan’s first 15-meter-high merry-go-round

In addition, Japan’s first three-story merry-go-round, Sky Carousel, will open on December 22, 2022 (Thursday). From the 15-meter-high merry-go-round, visitors can look out over the silvery white European cityscape.
