The Sumida River Fireworks Festival is loved by many people as a successor to the Ryogoku river opwning Fireworks Festival. The 2023 “Reiwa 5th (46th) Sumida River Fireworks Festival” will be held for the first time in four years since 2019.

In 2023, about 9,350 shots will be launched at the first venue from downstream of Sakura Bridge to upstream of Kototoi Bridge, and about 10,650 shots will be launched at the second venue from downstream of Komagata Bridge to upstream of Umaya Bridge, totaling about 20,000. The event will run for an hour and a half from 19:00 to 20:30. How about enjoying the Sumida River Fireworks Festival, a summer tradition in Tokyo, up close?
